Nifty October 2013 futures at premium

Turnover jumps

Nifty October 2013 futures were at 5965.70, at a premium of 56 points over spot closing of 5909.70. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 101302.29 crore from Rs 85223.80 crore on Tuesday, 1 October 2013. The stock market was closed on Wednesday, 2 October 2013 on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.

Axis Bank October 2013 futures were at 1112.80, at a premium over spot closing of 1102.80.

State Bank of India October 2013 futures were at 1667.05, at a premium over spot closing of 1657.

ICICI Bank October 2013 futures were at 946.90, at a premium over spot closing of 936.

In the spot market, the CNX Nifty jumped 129.65 points or 2.24% to settle at 5,909.70, its highest closing level since 20 September 2013.

The October 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 31 October 2013.
