Meanwhile, S&P BSE Sensex was up 491.67 points or 1.26% at 39,604.41.
On BSE, 1.44 lakh shares were traded in Piramal Enterprises counter, compared to a 2-week average of 67,000 shares. The share price hit an intraday high of Rs 1,889.15. It hit a record 52-week intraday low of Rs 1,706.10 today. It hit a 52-week high of Rs 3,302.55 on 31 August 2018.
Shares of Piramal Enterprises fell 19.60% in the past six trading sessions to settle at Rs 1742.75 yesterday, 19 June 2019, from its close of Rs 2,167.65 on 11 June 2019.
On a consolidated basis, net profit of Piramal Enterprises declined 88.42% to Rs 456.86 crore on 23.02% rise in net sales to Rs 3679.67 crore in Q4 March 2019 over Q4 March 2018.
