Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index registers a drop of 3.18%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 3.18% at 3076.5 today. The index has added 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of Baroda dropped 4.67%, Canara Bank fell 4.18% and Allahabad Bank slipped 3.79%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has increased 11.00% over last one year compared to the 5.61% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has slid 2.74% and Nifty Metal index has slid 2.46% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.78% to close at 11596.9 while the SENSEX has slid 0.81% to close at 38897.46 today.
