Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index records a surge of 2.20%

Nifty Realty index ended up 2.20% at 232 today. The index has added 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd jumped 9.18%, Godrej Properties Ltd gained 4.42% and Oberoi Realty Ltd rose 3.75%. The Nifty Realty index has decreased 29.00% over last one year compared to the 6.36% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index increased 2.04% and Nifty MNC index added 1.34% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.17% to close at 10876.75 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.07% to close at 36194.3 today.
