Rollatainers spurts after tie up to launch Wendy's brand in India

Rollatainers hit an upper circuit limit of 5% at Rs 314.40 at 9:40 IST on BSE after the company said it signed a pact to launch Wendy's hamburger restaurant chain in India.

The company made the announcement after market hours on Wednesday, 27 August 2014.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 92.37 points, or 0.35%, to 26,652.52.

On BSE, so far 892 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 6,546 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 314.40 and a low of Rs 307.05 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 408.10 on 18 June 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 94.40 on 12 November 2013.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 27 August 2014, falling 15.70% compared with 1.66% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 99.97% as against Sensex's 8.19% rise.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 25.01 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Rollatainers said it entered into a license agreement through Sierra Nevada Restaurants, a company in which Rollatainers is having 50% equity stake, with The Wendy's Company to develop and operate the Wendy's brand across India. The Wendy's Company is the world's third largest quick-service hamburger restaurant chain.

Rollatainers and International Market Management (IMM) each have a 50% equity interest in Sierra Nevada Restaurants.

Net profit of Rollatainers declined 84.76% to Rs 0.80 crore on 427.46% rise in net sales to Rs 101.22 crore in Q3 March 2014 over Q3 March 2013.
