Royal Orchid Hotels in spotlight after opening new hotel

Royal Orchid Hotels gained 1.62% to Rs 160.05 at 11:50 IST on BSE after the company announced that it has opened a new hotel in Dwarka.

The announcement was made during market hours today, 15 December 2017.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 277.38 points, or 0.83%, to 33,524.08. The BSE Small-Cap index was up 231.87 points, or 1.29%, to 18,155.32, outperforming the Sensex.

On the BSE, 745 shares were traded in the counter so far as against average daily volume of 54,989 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 162 and a low of Rs 158.50 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 182.75 on 24 November 2017. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 70.20 on 23 December 2016.

The stock had dropped 6.77% in three sessions to Rs 157.50 yesterday, 14 December 2017, from a close of Rs 168.95 on 11 December 2017.

The stock gained 1.35% over the past one month till 14 December 2017, outperforming the Sensex's 0.93% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 30.06% as against Sensex's 3.12% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one year, surging 113.85% as against Sensex's 24.97% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 27.27 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Royal Orchid Hotels announced the opening of its new hotel in Dwarka 'Regenta Inn The Dwarika taking the number of properties under Royal Orchid group to 46.
