Select stocks in demand on F&O inclusion

Shares of six companies gained by 2.47% to 5.8% at 10:31 IST on BSE on entering NSE's futures & options segment from today, 28 November 2014.

Amtek Auto (up 3.58%), Bosch (up 4.25%), Engineers India (up 4.41%), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 2.47%), Strides Arcolab (up 5.8%) and Wockhardt (up 3.21%) gained.

The S&P BSE Sensex was up 285.05 points, or 1% at 28,723.96

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) included Amtek Auto, Bosch, Engineers India, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Strides Arcolab and Wockhardt in the future and option (F&O) segment from today, 28 November 2014.

According the press release issued by the NSE after market hours on Thursday, 27 November 2014, the lot sizes were Amtek Auto (2000 shares), Bosch (125 shares), Engineers India (1000 shares), Indiabulls Housing Finance (500 shares), Strides Arcolab (500 shares) and Wockhardt (500 shares).

Typically, stocks entering the F&O segment gain ground due to improved liquidity and absence of circuit filters in the F&O segment.
