Shares of five companies rose by 0.99% to 2.80% at 9:41 IST after the NSE said it will include these stocks in its futures & options segment starting Wednesday, 10 September 2014.
TVS Motor Company (up 2.80%), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 2.71%), Eicher Motors (up 2.16%), SKS Microfinance (up 1.41%) and MindTree (up 0.99%), edged higher.
The S&P BSE Sensex was down 23.29 points, or 0.09% at 27,296.56.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) said it will introduce SKS Microfinance, TVS Motor Company, Eicher Motors, Motherson Sumi Systems and Mindtree in the future and option (F&O) segment from Wednesday, 10 September 2014.
Typically, stocks about to enter the F&O segment gain ground due to expectations of improved liquidity and absence of circuit filters in the F&O segment.
