It is reported that 1.60 lakh hectare area has been covered under summer pulses in Bihar followed by Uttar Pradesh (1.24 lakh ha), Andhra Pradesh (0.44 lakh ha), Gujarat (0.39 lakh ha), West Bengal (0.34 lakh ha), Karnataka (0.15 lakh ha), Telangana (0.12 lakh ha) and Madhya Pradesh (0.05 lakh ha).
Sowing of summer oilseeds has been reported from the state of West Bengal (2.55 lakh ha), Karnataka (2.19 lakh ha), Odisha (1.31 lakh ha), Gujarat (1.12 lakh ha), Tamil Nadu (0.79 lakh ha), Maharashtra (0.51 lakh ha), Andhra Pradesh (0.34 lakh ha), Chhatisgarh (0.25 lakh ha), and Telangana (0.21 lakh ha).
