Aditya Birla Nuvo and Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, the existing joint venture partners in the life insurance entity called Birla Sun Life Insurance Company have executed a share sale and purchase agreement on 02 December 2015, vide which Sun Life shall purchase an additional 23% stake in BSLI from ABNL, post which its stake in BSLI shall stand increased from 26% to 49%.
