Tata Global Beverages sells stake held in Tata Chemicals to Tata Sons

On Tuesday, 18 February 2020, Tata Global Beverages sold 7.05 lakh equity shares of Tata Chemicals (TCL) to Tata Sons (Promoter) as a market transaction.

As per the company's press release, the coffee-producing giant has sold 7.05 lakh equity shares held in Tata Chemicals (TCL) constituting 0.28% stake of the issued and paid-up share capital of TCL, to Tata Sons (Promoter).

As of 31 December 2019, Tata Sons held 6.09 crore equity shares or 23.92% stake and Tata Global Beverages held 7.05 lakh equity shares or 0.28% stake in the company.

The disclosure was announced after market hours yesterday, 18 February 2020.

On Tuesday, 18 February 2020, Tata Global Beverages rose 0.26% to end at Rs 382.05 on BSE.

Tata Global Beverages is a beverage company engaged in the trading, production and distribution of tea, coffee and water. The company's principal activities include processing and blending of tea, including manufacture of instant tea.

As of 31 December 2019, Tata Sons held 18.60 crore equity shares or 29.48% stake in the company.
