Tata Power rises after twin bulk deals

Tata Power Company rose 0.7% to Rs 64.50 after two bulk deals were executed on the scrip on BSE today, 19 September 2019.

A bulk deal of 50.71 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 64.30 per share at 10:36 IST on BSE. Another bulk deal of 25.03 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 64.20 per share at 10:51 IST on BSE.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 483 points or 1.32% to 36,081.06.

On the BSE, 93.71 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 28.24 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 64.90 and a low of Rs 63.65 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 86.15 on 29 October 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 50.4 on 21 August 2019.

The large cap company has equity capital of Rs 270.48 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit fell 31.3% to Rs 190.89 crore on a 6.2% decline in net sales to Rs 7766.72 crore in Q1 June 2019 over Q1 June 2018.

Tata Power Company is India's largest integrated power company and, together with its subsidiaries & jointly controlled entities, has an installed capacity of 10957 MW.
