Gotan Limestone Khanij Udyog to continue operation of mines
UltraTech Cement announced that with reference to the order of the Mines Department, Government of Rajasthan, cancelling the transfer and mining lease of the limestone mines in the name of the Company's wholly owned subsidiary Gotan Limestone Khanij Udyog (GKUPL), the order was challenged by GKUPL before the Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur. The Rajasthan High Court has by its order dated 25 March 2015 quashed and set aside the order relating to cancellation of the mine and all consequential actions of the Government of Rajasthan and has directed to handover the possession of mining lease to GKUPL forthwith.
This will enable GKUPL to take possession and operate the mines.
