Volumes jump at Dalmia Bharat counter

Arrow Coated Products, United Spirits, Mahindra CIE Automotive and Videocon Industries are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 12 January 2015.

Dalmia Bharat clocked volume of 4.30 lakh shares by 12:37 IST on BSE, a 19.70-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 22,000 shares. The stock rose 6.77% to Rs 440.20.

Arrow Coated Products notched up volume of 4.69 lakh shares, a 17.42-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 27,000 shares. The stock fell 3.53% to Rs 507.75.

United Spirits saw volume of 1.18 lakh shares, a 8.72-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock rose 7.56% to Rs 3,077 after minority shareholders of the company approved a proposal to make and sell brands owned by its parent Diageo Plc. The announcement was made after market hours on Friday, 9 January 2015.

Mahindra CIE Automotive clocked volume of 2.44 lakh shares, a 5.76-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 42,000 shares. The stock rose 10.85% to Rs 243.65.

Videocon Industries saw volume of 10.45 lakh shares, a 5.57-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.88 lakh shares. The stock fell 4.29% to Rs 182.95.
