Greaves Cotton clocked volume of 4.37 lakh shares by 14:15 IST on BSE, a 7.67 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 57,000 shares. The stock surged 8.74% at Rs 148.70.
Welspun Syntex notched up volume of 20.96 lakh shares, a 6.18-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.39 lakh shares. The stock rose 4.98% at Rs 124.35.
Andrew Yule & Company saw volume of 39.60 lakh shares, a 5.65-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 7 lakh shares. The stock jumped 20% at Rs 26.70.
Greenply Industries clocked volume of 1.04 lakh shares, a 5.56-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 19,000 shares. The stock surged 6.13% at Rs 988.
Kotak Mahindra Bank saw volume of 5.32 lakh shares, a 5.5-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 97,000 shares. The stock fell 2.19% at Rs 700.50. The bank's net profit fell 55.84% to Rs 189.78 crore on 70.65% growth in total income to Rs 4583.86 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014. The bank announced the first quarter results after market hours yesterday, 30 July 2015.
