Nucleus Software tanks after announcing poor Q1 results

Nucleus Software Exports slumped 16.09% to Rs 284.20 at 11:45 IST on BSE after consolidated net profit dropped 67.09% to Rs 6.79 crore on 15.93% drop in net total income from operations to Rs 84.82 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q4 March 2015.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 30 July 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 300.86 points, or 1.09%, to 28,006.21.

On BSE, so far 1.56 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 1.05 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

Shares of IT services provider hit a high of Rs 301 and a low of Rs 276.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 353 on 28 July 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 160.20 on 26 March 2015.

Nucleus Software Exports said that the company won one new product order worldwide during Q1 June 2015. One new customer was added to the count of more than 150 customers across the globe in Q1 June 2015. Seven product module implementations successfully went alive in Q1 June 2015.

The global count of employees in Nucleus Software as on 30 June 2015 stands at 1,581 against 1,488 as on 30 June 2014.

Cash and cash equivalents was at Rs 351.50 crore as on 30 June 2015 as against Rs 319.70 crore on 30 June 2014.
