Volumes jump at JK Cement counter

Ipca Laboratories, Ricoh India, Wabco India and Zee Entertainment Enterprises are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 8 April 2016.

JK Cement clocked volume of 1.02 lakh shares by 13:55 IST on BSE, a 57.13 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock rose 0.28% at Rs 667.

Ipca Laboratories notched up volume of 4.93 lakh shares, a 29.27-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock slumped 9.77% at Rs 504 after the company informed that The Global Fund, Geneva, Switzerland, will not source drugs from the company following a warning letter from the US regulator. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 7 April 2016.

Ricoh India saw volume of 3.65 lakh shares, a 27.5-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock gained 5% at Rs 353.30.

Wabco India clocked volume of 10,000 shares, a 20.83-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 490 shares. The stock dropped 1.22% at Rs 5,790.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises saw volume of 10.03 lakh shares, a 18.17-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 55,000 shares. The stock rose 0.73% at Rs 386.80 after a bulk deal of 9.83 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 384.25 per share in opening trade on BSE today, 8 April 2016.
