Volumes jump at KNR Constructions counter

Kitex Garments, Colgate Palmolive (India), Cosmo Films and Cipla are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 25 January 2016.

KNR Constructions clocked volume of 1.97 lakh shares by 13:54 IST on BSE, a 42.6 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock rose 2.57% at Rs 498.50.

Kitex Garments notched up volume of 1.12 lakh shares, a 13.64-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock lost 13.29% at Rs 470.05.

Colgate Palmolive (India) saw volume of 2.12 lakh shares, a 4.21-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 50,000 shares. The stock lost 1.57% at Rs 869.

Cosmo Films clocked volume of 2.98 lakh shares, a 3.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 86,000 shares. The stock surged 4.27% at Rs 290.40.

Cipla saw volume of 2.39 lakh shares, a 2.8-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 86,000 shares. The stock rose 0.46% at Rs 586.05. Cipla announced after market hours on Friday, 22 January 2016 that it has completed the transfer formalities in relation to the divestment of its entire 25% stake held in Biomab Holding Limited, Hong Kong (Biomab).
