Volumes jump at Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services counter

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals, TAKE Solutions, Bajaj Finserv and JK Lakshmi Cement are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 15 January 2015.

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services clocked volume of 18.66 lakh shares by 12:29 IST on BSE, a 29.20-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 64,000 shares. The stock rose 3.57% to Rs 309.

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals notched up volume of 4.86 lakh shares, a 22.34-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 22,000 shares. The stock rose 6.22% to Rs 188.80.

TAKE Solutions saw volume of 30.94 lakh shares, a 16.29-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.90 lakh shares. The stock rose 10.71% to Rs 60.45.

Bajaj Finserv clocked volume of 1.26 lakh shares, a 14.57-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock rose 1.78% to Rs 1,284.70 after consolidated net profit rose 23.6% to Rs 347.37 crore on 36.7% increase in total income to Rs 1905.34 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 14 January 2015.

JK Lakshmi Cement saw volume of 3.40 lakh shares, a 13.98-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 24,000 shares. The stock rose 0.10% to Rs 394.50.
