Volumes jump at Rupa & Company counter

Vardhman Textiles, Sagar Cements, UPL and Igarashi Motors India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 11 April 2016.

Rupa & Company clocked volume of 2.25 lakh shares by 13:20 IST on BSE, a 100.93 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,231 shares. The stock surged 18.47% at Rs 325.20. Rupa & Company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Oban Fashions, had on 7 April 2016, entered into a definitive license agreement with French Connection to develop, manufacture, market and sell innerwear and related products with the brand name 'FCUK' in India. The announcement was made after market hours on Friday, 8 April 2016.

Vardhman Textiles notched up volume of 2.53 lakh shares, a 16.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 16,000 shares. The stock rose 0.7% at Rs 836.75.

Sagar Cements saw volume of 1.25 lakh shares, a 11.90-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock advanced 7.17% at Rs 568.20

UPL clocked volume of 7.13 lakh shares, a 10.02-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 71,000 shares. The stock rose 2.73% at Rs 472.95.

Igarashi Motors India saw volume of 1.05 lakh shares, a 6.79-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 15,000 shares. The stock fell 1.75% at Rs 604.
