Volumes jump at Sagar Cements counter

Emami, JBF Industries, TV18 Broadcast and United Breweries are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 13 September 2013.

Sagar Cements clocked volume of 5 lakh shares by 13:42 IST on BSE, a 1323.23-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 378 shares. The stock lost 4.47% to Rs 170 after three block deals aggregating 4.98 lakh shares were executed on BSE at Rs 170 per share.

Two block deals each of 1.75 lakh shares were executed at 11:03 IST while the third deal of 1.48 lakh shares was executed at 11:08 IST. The block deals constitute 2.86% of Sagar Cements' equity

Emami notched up volume of 3.71 lakh shares, a 29.82-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock lost 1.93% at Rs 469 after two block deals aggregating 3.54 lakh shares were executed on BSE at Rs 470 per share.

A block deal of 1.26 lakh shares was executed at 10:45 IST while another block deal of 2.28 lakh shares was executed at 10:48 IST. The two block deals constitute 0.15% of Emami's equity.

JBF Industries saw volume of 5.54 lakh shares, a 2.75-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.02 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.17% at Rs 99.60.

TV18 Broadcast clocked volume of 30.49 lakh shares, a 2.7-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11.29 lakh shares. The stock surged 4.3% at Rs 20.60.

United Breweries clocked volume of 3.83 lakh shares, a 2.64-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.45 lakh shares. The stock spurted 8.11% at Rs 882.
