Volumes jump at Tech Mahindra counter

Ramco Systems, Gati, Page Industries and Indiabulls Housing Finance are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 21 January 2016.

Tech Mahindra clocked volume of 60.67 lakh shares by 14:00 IST on BSE, a 40.88 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.48 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.77% at Rs 511.10.

Ramco Systems notched up volume of 1.07 lakh shares, a 31.4-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock gained 1.81% at Rs 589.85.

Gati saw volume of 16.27 lakh shares, a 5.89-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.76 lakh shares. The stock tumbled 11.21% at Rs 105.75. Gati's consolidated net profit fell 33% to Rs 7.67 crore on 1.2% decline in net sales to Rs 415.51 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q3 December 2014. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 20 January 2016.

Page Industries clocked volume of 4,000 shares, a 5.81-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock lost 2.23% at Rs 12,181.70.

Indiabulls Housing Finance saw volume of 90,000 shares, a 1.68-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 53,000 shares. The stock rose 3.01% at Rs 709.90.
