As many as 1,076 new dengue cases have been reported in the last five days in Delhi, taking the total figure to 13,607, municipal authorities said here on Friday.
According to a new report, areas under North Delhi Municipal Corporation recorded the highest number of 4,833 dengue cases.
"South Delhi witnessed 3,928 cases while areas under East Delhi MC recorded a lowest 2,552 cases," said the report from the three municipal corporations of Delhi.
Also, the number of people suffering from dengue in areas adjoining Delhi - Gaziabad and Faridabad - stood at 2,567.
The national capital witnessed the highest number of dengue cases since 1996 at 10,683 till October.
The report said that till October 17, the number of houses found positive for mosquito breeding stood at 2,22,732.
