A civilian was killed and three others injured on Tuesday in indiscriminate shelling by Pakistan Rangers along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, police said.
"Pakistani troops resorted to indiscriminate targeting of civilian and defence facilities in Ramgarh sector," the police official said.
"A 16-year-old girl, Rosy, hit by a mortar splinter died in Jerda village while the three others were injured critically in Pindi Charka village."
Pakistan has extended the indiscriminate firing that started in Jerda to Pindi and Nai Basti areas in Ramgarh sector.
"The BSF is retaliating effectively and heavy shelling and firing exchanges are going on," the official added.
