One person was killed when a speeding Mercedes car rammed into his fruit cart in a hit-and-run case here, police said on Monday.
The accident took place on Sunday night at around 11.54 p.m. at Dwarka's Ganpati Chowk.
"The victim identified as Sarvesh, 35 and an injured, Inder, 30 were fruit sellers. They were returning from a weekly market. When they reached Ganpati Chowk, a speeding Mercedes lost control and rammed them," Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Anto Alphonse said.
"Sarvesh was declared brought dead in a hospital. Inder, who suffered critical injuries, is undergoing treatment."
A Mercedes Benz logo was found at the accident spot, the DCP added.
The police were scanning CCTV footage to identify the car driver.
