A six-lane 10.3-km-long elevated road will be built soon to connect UP gate to Raj Nagar Extension, a newly developed township along Hindon canal, said Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) vice-chairman Santosh Yadav.

The travel time between the two points on the new road will be eight minutes.

The Rs. 916.92 crore project will be executed in Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode, Yadav said adding that the road will be toll-free.

The road will be open to the public in March, 2017, added Yadav.
