Nine men and a woman who cheated people by promising them lucrative jobs in prestigious companies have been arrested here, police said on Monday.
Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar told the media that the police had seized 20 walkie-talkies, a packing machine, two printers, seals of different companies, 18 chargers and four registers.
The accused were identified as Nitin from Bihar, Kareem from West Bengal as well as Rajendra, Pushpendra, Himanshu, Alok, Neeraj, Rohit and Jeet Singh from Uttar Pradesh. One of them was a woman, Vimlesh, also from Uttar Pradesh.
The first to be arrested ran a fake call centre and promised jobs in Indigo Airlines, police said. This followed a tip off on email.
