Two passenger trains collided head on Tuesday in South Korea, leaving 10 people injured.
The trains collided around 5.50 p.m. in the single-track between Taebaek and Mungok stations, located in Taebaek city in the eastern Gangwon province, Xinhua reported.
At least 10 passengers have been confirmed wounded until now, five of them seriously, the state-run rail operator KORAIL said, adding they were taken to a nearby hospital.
Witnesses said a very loud explosion was heard when the trains collided.
Some 100 passengers managed to move away from the scene of the accident.
