At least 10 people died after a mosque in a Nairobi slum collapsed due to heavy rains, emergency services said on Tuesday.

Emergency services have not ruled out the possibility of more bodies being found under the rubble in Mukuru, Efe news agency reported.

A wall surrounding the mosque collapsed after a heavy downpour.

In the slums, buildings are made with very poor materials. Many roads in the Kenyan capital were impassable on Monday night, and several buildings were flooded due to heavy rains.
