12 injured as NC, PDP workers clash in Kashmir

At least a dozen people including security men were injured Thursday in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir when activists of the National Conference (NC) and the PDP clashed with each other.

Police said the clash broke out outside the office of the Kulgam district magistrate in Noorabad assembly constituency area, when NC candidate Sakina Itoo and Peoples Democratic Party's Abdul Majid Paddar were filing their nomination papers for the assembly polls.

The station house officer of Kulgam police station was among the injured.
