At least 12 people were killed on Saturday when a water boiler blew up in a factory in Bangladesh's capital city Dhaka, police said.

The explosion led to a fire in the Tampaco Foils factory in Gazipur area around 6 a.m., bdnews24 reported citing Senior Fire Station officer Mohd Rafiquzzaman as saying.

He said the fire service was trying to put out of the fire caused by the explosion.
