12 killed in suicide bomb blast in Cameroon

At least 12 people were killed and many injured in a suicide bomb blast in Cameroon's Maroua region, a media report said.

Witnesses and army sources told Xinhua that a woman detonated a bomb attached to her belt in a bar on Saturday evening.

On Wednesday, double suicide bomb blasts took place in the central market of Maroua left 20 people killed.

It is suspected that Saturday's attack and the previous attacks were carried out by followers of the Nigerian Boko Haram militant group.
