Thirteen Malaysians, believed to be linked to the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq, have been arrested, media reported Wednesday.
"The suspects were detained at several locations in Shah Alam, the capital of the western Selangor state, Tuesday," The Star reported citing Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar.
The police were constantly monitoring these kinds of activities. "Militancy and terrorism have no place in this country," he said.
Thirty-six Malaysians have been arrested for militant activities since April 28.
