About 2,000 ex-servicemen from the army, navy and air force were offered employment in the corporate sector at a job fair here on Sunday.
"We are grateful to the corporate sector for employing our well-trained and disciplined ex-servicemen in its private firms," Air Officer Commanding Chief Air Marshal S.R.K. Nair said in a statement.
Organised by the Delhi-based Directorate General Resettlement, the fair was held at the Jalahalli air force station.
"Around 55 private firms from five southern states and Maharashtra participated in the fair and offered jobs to our defence personnel," Nair said.
Jobs were offered in diverse areas such as management, human resource, healthcare, aviation, finance, telecom and safety-cum-security.
