Two persons were killed when a small plane crash landed on a beach in Portugal, the media reported.
Citing Portuguese Lusa News Agency, Xinhua reported that the plane, a Cessna 152, was on a training flight on Wednesday with a student and a 56-year-old senior instructor with "high experience and thousands of hours of flying", aviation school Aerocondor said in a statement.
The plane crash landed at Sao Joao beach in Costa de Caparica in Almada, around 30 km from Lisbon.
The school said that it will collaborate with the authorities in finding out the causes of the accident while conveying their condolences to the families of the two victims -- an eight-year-old girl and a 56-year-old man without family relationship.
A 45-year-old woman sustained mild injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The two crew members of the plane did not suffer any injury and were taken away by police for questioning.
The Office of Prevention and Investigation of Accidents with Aircraft and Rail Accidents said a team from the organisation has started the investigation into the incident.
