Bari (Italy), Aug 2 (IANS/AKI) A 15-year-old girl was hospitalised after allegedly being raped by a gang of youths including four minors in the southern Italian city of Bari, police said on Wednesday.
Five males attacked the schoolgirl near Bari's port late on Tuesday after one invited her for an ice cream and lured her to an isolated spot where the others were waiting, said police.
The youths are aged between 16 and 18 and are all from the province of Bari, according to police.
Prosecutors from Bari's juvenile court are spearheading a police investigation of the attack, which began at around 11pm on Tuesday.
The attack follows the alleged gang rape of another 15-year-old girl on a beach at the upscale Naples resort of Marechiaro in July.
