At least two school children were killed on Thursday when a truck collided with their school bus in Haryana's Karnal district, nearly 150 km from here, police said.
Nearly 10 others, including the bus driver and other students, were injured. They were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The accident took place near Jansaro village on the Karnal-Indri highway. There was fog in the area when the accident took place.
Following the accident, an angry mob of villagers who had gathered at the spot, damaged the truck and set it on fire.
Police reinforcements had to be rushed to the area to control the situation.
