At least 20 soldiers were killed and dozens injured when suicide car bombings rocked the Yemeni defence ministry complex here Thursday morning, an official said.
The explosions were caused by suicide car bombings that damaged part of a wall of the ministry complex, reported Xinhua citing an official of the defence ministry as saying on condition of anonymity.
The official added that the first car bomb hit the western gate of the ministry and the second one broke down the gate and exploded inside the ministry complex.
At least 20 soldiers were killed in the blast, the official said.
Doctors at the Al-Jomohoury Hospital said they have received 32 wounded soldiers.
