2015 Davis Cup final Nov 27-29

The 2015 Davis Cup World Group final will be played Nov 27-29, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced Wednesday.

While the World Group first round matches will be held March 6-8, it will be followed by the quarter-finals (July 17-19), semi-finals play-offs (Sep 18-20) and the final Nov 27-29.

The Davis Cup Committee also confirmed the weeks for the 2017-18 competition. The World Group first round will be held the week after Australian Open, quarter-finals the week after the Miami tournament, semi-finals and play-offs week after US Open and the final the week after ATP World Tour Finals.

Because of the complexity of the calendar in an Olympic year, the 2016 dates are still being discussed.

The 2014 Davis Cup World Group semi-finals and play-offs are taking place this weekend. In the semis, France is at home against Czech Republic while Switzerland is at home, taking on Italy. The winners will contest the final Nov 21-23.

Meanwhile, India is playing the World Group play-off in Bangalore against Serbia for a place in the elite World Group in 2015 which has 16 teams.
