Three criminals were killed in a police encounter on Saturday morning in Bihar's Vaishali district, police said.

Police has seized two AK-47 rifles and other arms.

A Special Task Force team killed the criminals -- Manish Kumar Singh and two others -- who were involved in looting gold and were wanted by several states, Inspector General Kundan Krishnan said.

The encounter took place after the criminals attacked the police when they tried to arrest them.
