A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 10-year-old daughter, then city police said on Wednesday.
The alleged attacker was identified as Neeraj, from a village in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
The police said the man belonging to labour class was living with his family in Basai Enclave area of Gurugram.
He took his daughter to a secluded place near Pataudi Chowk (near his house) late on Tuesday night and committed the sexual crime.
The police have registered a case of rape and criminal intimidation, and also charged him under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on the complaint of the girl's mother, his own wife.
Investigations are on, a senior police officer said.
