5.8-magnitude quake jolts northeast Japan

Tokyo, April 17 (IANS) A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted northeast Japan around 9:03 p.m. local time Wednesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said.
The epicentre was initially determined at 38.5 degree north latitude, 141.6 degree east longitude, with a depth of 60 km, Xinhua reported.
Mild tremors were felt in Tokyo and no tsunami warnings were issued.
