At least eight civilians and an attacker were killed here on Wednesday in a suicide bomb attack on a convoy of the NATO mission in Afghanistan.
The explosion took place around 7.45 a.m. in the central part of Kabul, near the US embassy, Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid told EFE news.
Three foreign soldiers and 25 civilians were wounded in the attack.
"Three coalition members were wounded. All sustained non-life threatening wounds, are in a stable condition and are currently being treated at coalition medical facilities," NATO spokesperson William K. Salvin said.
"Deeply saddened by the terrorist attack killing innocent civilians in Kabul. I condemn the attack and stand in solidarity with the victims," Afghanistan's Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah tweeted.
No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack.
