96 militants join reintegration process in Afghanistan

A total of 96 militants Monday joined Afghanistan's peace and reintegration process in the northern province of Baghlan, an official said.

"The 96 militants renounced violence and laid their arms in provincial capital Pul-e-Khumri," the official told Xinhua.

The former militants were active in Pul-e-Hissar and Khost districts in the province, 160 km north of national capital Kabul, the official said.
