The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government effected a second reshuffle of bureaucrats after assuming power.

Arun Goyal, who until now was principal secretary (urban development), will replace S.S. Yadav as principal secretary-cum commissioner (food and supplies).

The order is dated Jan 6 (Monday) when the government reshuffled 800 officials in the Delhi Jal Board.

During the Congress rule, Yadav was entrusted the task of implementing food security scheme - the UPA government's flagship programme.

Goyal will also take charge of CMD Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. from Yadav who has been posted as secretary (urban development).

Yadav has been relieved of his additional charges of secretary (administrative reforms) and secretary (art, culture and language) which will be held by Arun Baroka, secretary in the public works department.

According to the order, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation MD Gyanesh Bharti has been repatriated and posted as commissioner (transport), the additional charge, earlier held by Arvind Ray.

North Delhi's Municipal Corporation's (NDMC) Deputy Commissioner Padmini Singla has also been repatriated and posted as director (education).

Now, Niharika Rai, who was additional secretary (food and supplies), will be NDMC's deputy commissioner on deputation.

On the very first day of assuming charge (Dec 28, 2013), the AAP reshuffled quite a number of IAS officers.
