International artist Abeer Nehme, who can sing in nineteen languages, has been roped in to perform at the eighth World Sufi Spirit Festival (WSSF) to be held in February in Rajasthan.
Having acquired a master's degree in musicology from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (Lebanon), she received a diploma in advanced traditional Arabic music performance. She will take to the WSSF stage with several other Indian and international artists, said a statement.
Apart from Nehme, the music festival has also roped in artists from Azerbaijan, Iran, Morocco, Tajikistan and Canada.
The fest will be hosted at the Mehrangarh and Ahichhatragarh Forts in Jodhpur and Nagaur. It will start in Nagaur Feb 17 and will culminate Feb 23 in Jodhpur.
