Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has finished shooting "Housefull 3" and refused to cut a cake on the celebrations for its completion, says he doesn't believe in these newfound traditions. Instead, he feels that once he's part of a film, it's an "eternal journey".

Just a few days ago, when "Housefull 3" director duo Sajid-Farhad got a special cake in the shape of 'AB' to celebrate the shoot's completion, Abhishek reportedly refused to cut the cake and got emotional.

Talking about the incident, he said: "It has become a tradition that when an actor finishes the shooting, they celebrate it or announce it. Sajid-Farhad very sweetly got a cake as well, but I haven't liked any of this. I don't believe in these celebrations or these kind of ends.

"According to me, once you are on the journey of the film, it is an eternal journey. Just because I finished shooting the film, doesn't mean that I'm done. Once I'm associated with something, it's a lifelong association."

Abhishek spoke at the launch of YuppTV Bazaar here on Wednesday.

The actor is the new entrant in the franchise, replacing John Abraham, while Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh are still part of it. Jacqueline Fernandez has been retained from the second part, and Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon are the new actresses in the cast.

This apart, he's also working on "Hera Pheri 3".

"The principal photography is over, but there is a lot more work that is left to be done. I'll finish that and then move on to the other projects," he said.
