ACC Q3 stand-alone net profit down 68 percent

Cement major ACC on Wednesday posted a decline of 68.30 percent in its stand-alone net profit which stood at Rs.102.58 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015.

The company had earned a net profit of Rs.323.63 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

According to the company, its total income increased by 1.73 percent to Rs.2,930.49 crore from Rs.2,880.62 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

Further, the company's consolidated net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates decreased by 68.61 percent to Rs.102.39 crore for the third quarter.

The company had earned a net profit of Rs.326.22 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

According to the company, its total income rose by 1.78 percent to Rs.2,931.22 crore from Rs.2,879.68 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company added that its board of directors recommended a final dividend payment of Rs.6 per equity share with the face value of Rs.10.

The total dividend for the year 2015 including the interim dividend of Rs.11 per share paid in July 2015 now stands at Rs.17 per share. The company had paid a total dividend of Rs.34 per share in 2014.
