Actor James Avery passed away Tuesday evening. The-65-year-old had recently undergone surgery for an undisclosed illness.
Sources close to the actor said that he died in an Glendale, CA hospital. Avery had undergone open heart surgery and took a turn for the worse, reports tmz.com.
Alfonso Ribeiro, who played his son on the TV show "Fresh Prince Of Bel Air", also expressed the loss on his Facebook page.
"I will miss him greatly," Ribeiro posted Wednesday.
Avery also appeared in shows like "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Grey's Anatomy".
