Celebrities like Bejoy Nambiar, Ankita Shrivastav and Karan V Grover have expressed their love for "The Fast and the Furious" film franchise, saying that the movies take them on an exciting trip with adrenaline-pumping action scenes and thrilling car chase sequences.

"Furious 7", the last film in the series to feature late Paul Walker, grossed $1.5 billion globally at the box office and became the sixth highest grossing movie ever.

And now the film is all set to appear on the Indian small screen on Sony PIX on June 19, read a statement.

Ankita, who was last seen in "Sarbjit", said: "It is so difficult to choose a favourite from the franchise. But if I absolutely had to choose one, it would be the fifth part. Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson share the screen and that fight scene between the two was just brilliant... Action film at its best".

Nambiar, the man behind films like "David", "Shaitan" and "Wazir", calls himself a big fan of the film franchise. The first film came out in 2001.

"I am quite a fan. I like all of them. I think the action in 'Fast 5' was one of the best in the whole series... I think everybody who liked the franchise likes it mainly for the action and car chases," he said.

Karan, the star of TV show "Bahu Humari Rajni_kant", picks the first one as his favourite due to its "raw and unpredictable" quality.

"Bahu Humari Rajni_kant" actress Riddhima Pandit said: "The last one ('Furious 7') as it had an extremely emotional quotient as it was Walker's last movie as he had died while filming it, I remember crying in the last scene where Diesel and Paul's car go separate ways".

The eighth instalment in the popular "Fast and Furious" franchise has been announced. "Fast 8" is expected to release on April 17, 2017.
